Wet edges on paper or board machines can be a headache. There can be different causes for the problem. There is usually a simple solution: adding electrical IR on the edges.

This installation is designed to remove up to 5 % moisture before the sizer as the pre-drying section has an important lack of drying on both edges.
The IR is normally used at 100 % and production capacity is immediately increased. The investment was paid back in less than 2 years.
